  • In addition, Mikel Leshoure returned to practice today after missing two weeks with a hamstring issue. He said he hoped to return to the lineup this week in Baltimore. • The Lions' offensive line, once a weakness, has now become a strength. That's due in part to continuity, writes Rod Beard. Depth is also a key, as the Lions have been able to develop some suitable young talent to lead the way in the trenches. —The Detroit News
  • As always, Detroit's secondary is a big point of contention this preseason. Andrew Tomlinson of The Detroit Sports Site takes a closer look at how the backfield is performing, and says the rookies have been struggling in zone coverage while excelling in man. —The Detroit Sports Site
  • Finally, Sports Illustrated is once again dispatching writers around the country to take a look at various NFL training camps. Chris Burke recently visited Allen Park, and expounded on some issues the Lions have in his "postcard from camp."  Namely, Burke examines the challenge of trimming the roster and the play of the receivers and secondary. —SI.com
