After a very busy week, Detroit Lions' general manager Martin Mayhew spoke out on Thursday, detailing some plans for the franchise later on this offseason. There was plenty to talk about and questions swirled around everything from free agency to the draft. Mayhew, for his part, did an excellent job of answering them.

Here's some different media talking points to finish up this crazy week, perhaps outlining the next moves the Lions will make.

  • Naturally, we'll start at the top with the biggest malcontent. Mayhew said Titus Young had no trade value, saying he didn't even attempt to call around and get anything for the disgruntled wide receiver, even so much as a seventh round pick. As soon as Young was released, the St. Louis Rams scooped him up. He's their problem now—Detroit Free Press
  • Lions' coach Jim Schwartz stopped short of calling Detroit's offseason predicament a rebuild, instead preferring the term "reload." Not sure if that's the right terminology given the Lions haven't won enough to reload anything, but regardless, Schwartz believes his team does have enough talent to build around. —Detroit Free Press
  • What are the specific plans for the months ahead? Calculated aggression. Mayhew promised the Lions would be  more active this season in free agency, given that they weren't last year. Also on the menu? Restructuring and extending quarterback Matthew Stafford's contract. —Detroit News
  • Now that Kyle Vanden Bosch is gone and Cliff Avril could also be walking come March, grabbing a solid pass rusher in the draft is key, writes Tim Twentyman of Who might be on the menu early in April? Damontre Moore, Bjoern Werner, Jarvis Jones or Ezekiel Ansah. —
  • Want one more name at defensive end to watch? According to Todd McShay of ESPN, it's Dion Jordan of Oregon, who has been rising up draft boards recently. McShay has Jordan going fifth overall to Detroit in his recent mock draft. Clearly, end is becoming the one position worth watching this entire offseason, from February to April. —Detroit Free Press
  • The Lions did make a minor roster move this week, signing well-traveled corner Domonique Johnson for depth. Johnson most recently played for the Washington Redskins, but also played for the Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. —Detroit News
