Lions rookie CB Teez Tabor still not over hamstring injury

ALLEN PARK – Yes, Teez Tabor was dealing with a hamstring injury during the pre-draft process. And it’s still bothering him.

The rookie corner has spent hours rehabbing the injury with Detroit’s training staff, and expects to be limited for several more weeks. He hopes to be 100 percent by the start of training camp in late July.

“I’m just working endlessly – tirelessly – (for) hours in the training room,” Tabor said Friday. ”We’ve got great trainers. Just working really hard right now, hopefully I’ll be about 100 percent by the time training camp comes so I can help the team.”

Tabor was one of the most dominating corners in the country his last two years at Florida, and held quarterbacks to a microscopic 41.2 passer rating for his career. He was also an avid ball-hawk, picking off nine passes and returning three for touchdowns.
