Eric Ebron, Rick Wagner return from injuries; Matthew Stafford avoids scare

INDIANAPOLIS — The Detroit Lions got some good news Friday, with both Eric Ebron and Rick Wagner getting cleared to return from injuries, and Matthew Stafford avoiding one.

Stafford knocked knees with running back Ameer Abdullah during team drills in a joint practice with Indianapolis. He immediately started limping and was replaced by backup Jake Rudock. 

But after receiving medical attention, Stafford was able to shake off the scare and return to practice. He finished 8 of 12 passing during full-team drills. 

“I was on the other field, so I didn’t see it,” coach Jim Caldwell said. ”I only heard about it, but I didn’t see it. If I didn’t hear any ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ from the crowd, so I didn’t worry too much about it. But he and Ameer I guess kind of clicked knees, from what I understand, but he’…
